As you might have seen by now, this weekend my office staff and I will be doing the Potters 'Arf Marathon (we'll be walking it - none of us are bastions of physical fitness!).
We're fundraising for two fantastic local charities. The first is the Lou Macari foundation, which does fantastic work supporting the homeless in Stoke-on-Trent and helping them out of homelessness and with associated issues such as addiction.
The second charity is AEDdonate, which ensures our community has access to defibrillators. This is vital for Sudden Cardiac Arrest, from which 100,000 people die a year - 620 of these people under 35 and 270 children in schools. Survival chances increase upwards of 80% if a defibrillator is used in the first 3 minutes.
