Gareth signs motion on Fly-Tipping

Yesterday I signed early day motion 902 on fly-tipping. The motion calls on the Secretary of State for Justice to simplify the court process for the prosecution of fly-tippers; and to introduce community payback sentencing for fly-tippers to help address the increase in illegal fly tipping.

I know from my own casework how infuriating fly-tipping is for local residents and frustrating it is that often the perpetrators get away with it. I hope the government can take action on this and help communities blighted by the selfishness of others. In the meantime, if you spot fly-tipping please do use the below form to report it or let my office know.
