Gareth participates in World's Biggest Bar Crawl charity fundraiser

On Sunday I went to the Greyhound pub to participate in the World’s Biggest Pub Quiz. The World’s Biggest Pub Quiz is a national event run by local pubs through Pubaid to raise money Prostate Cancer UK, and all Titanic Brewery pubs are joining in..
Through £1 entry, the first drink being free in return for a donation, 25p from every Titanic Brewery beer and a raffle with Titanic Brewery prizes, the unbelievable generosity of the Greyhound pub in raising a substantial amount of money for Prostate Cancer UK.

This money will make a huge difference to the lives of those suffering from prostate cancer and their families. It’s the most common type of cancer among men in the UK, with 40,000 men being diagnosed every year and 1 in 8 men suffering from prostate cancer in their lifetimes. Prostate Cancer UK’s work research has generated in improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support; and will continue to do so.

I’d like to thank Mike and everyone else at the Greyhound pub for organising the event locally and for their and the Titanic Brewery’s generosity. I would also like to thank everyone who participated in one of the World’s Biggest Pub Quiz events locally for their own generosity. I’m always proud to see the way our communities pull together to support a good cause, and I’m more than happy to support other charity fundraising events wherever possible.

If you missed the event in The Greyhound there will be World’s Biggest Pub Quiz events in The White Star here in Stoke-on-Trent tomorrow at 8pm, and one in The Bulls Head in Burslem at 7.30pm on Thursday. It’s a great way to have some fun and raise money for an important cause, and I can’t recommend going enough!
