Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting with Simon Harris, chief executive of Staffordshire North and Stoke-on-Trent CAB. We had a good conversation about the current pressures and challenges facing the service.
We talked about welfare reform and the roll out of universal credit and the challenges that brings and how we can work collectively in the future.
I'm extremely grateful for the work the CAB do in supporting local constituents facing the challenge of vicious Toy welfare cuts. Cuts that often fall on the most vulnerable members of our society. I wonder how many Tory MPs really listen to local groups such as the CAB when they visit them and they hear about the growing and more complex cases they are dealing with.
