Brexit No Deal

Yesterday I spoke in the House of Commons about Brexit. It's a rather long speech, but covers my concerns about political posturing on both sides pushing us towards a 'no deal' scenario. In the last few months the debate has focused on process rather than policy. Personality and personal ambition rather than the prospects of constituents and businesses like those found in Stoke-on-Trent.

Next week we will debate bills that are crucial for our future trading relationships and thus the future of jobs and manufacturing. It's time those in government listened to the concerns of those such as the ceramic industry and adopted robust remedies to ensure a future level playing field on trade.
